A free-lance writer/photographer in the United States Pacific Northwest, my words and images celebrate cultural diversity, the natural world, live performance, and the people closest to us. I began taking photos when I was a Peace Corps Volunteer using a basic, and ever-reliable, Pentax K-1000, to capture images of the people and environment of rural Honduras. Eventually graduating to more sophisticated equipment, I received advanced training in darkroom printing techniques, and became well-versed in the world of print and online publishing.

That training paid off when I became Photo Editor and Chief Photographer with the Inter-American Foundation (IAF) in the early 2000s. Witnessing and documenting firsthand the work and dignity of people in Latin America at the grassroots level was indeed a privilege. My words and images appeared in Grassroots Development-Journal of the Inter-American Foundation between 2004 and 2015.

Over the last few years, I've had the good fortune to combine my love for live music and photography. Working with On Tap Magazine (now District Fray) and ParklifeDC, I’ve written reviews and photographed live music performances ranging from national touring acts such as Neil Young, Samantha Fish, and Yes to regional performers like River Whyless, Eugenia Riot, and the Karen Jonas Band.

Please contact me to learn more about purchasing prints, my reasonable daily rates, and availability. And, of course, I'm always available to travel.

Thanks for visiting, and I'm looking forward to working with you soon.
